The people of Western Australia have a right to feel safe, a right to enjoy their communities without fear for themselves and their families. The Hon Nick Goiran MLC, recognises that “the first step is to crack down on offenders, and ensure that our legislation can bring about effective results.”
The Government has committed to work towards this goal in many ways. Not only is tougher legislation being brought in, but our police force is continually being upgraded with better resources and more officers.
The Hon Nick Goiran applauds the Government’s measures and believes that “this government will work hard to ensure that our laws are kept as up to date as possible. With new technology being exploited all the time, it is imperative that Parliamentarians stay a step ahead of criminals.”
“Every day we see problems arising, many of which are caused by problems in society which need to be addressed at the core,” the Hon Nick Goiran states, with reference to “graffiti, child pornography, alcohol and drug abuse, and our government is taking steps to address these issues.”
