Prevention of Family and Domestic Violence
Since being appointed the inaugural Shadow Minister for Prevention of Family and Domestic Violence, I have been in close contact with Rebecca Tolstoy, Founder and Chairman of Path of Hope.
Path of Hope is a foundation that offers assistance and resources to women vulnerable to or currently experiencing family violence. Path of Hope believes in ‘Glocal’ thinking: Global change on a local level.
In collaboration with The Salvation Army and Rotary they provide women with the support and guidance needed in order for them to become independent and to break the cycle of family and domestic violence.
In November next year Path of Hope will be holding the first Domestic Violence & Human Trafficking World Summit in Perth which will bring together world leaders, decision-makers, influencers, innovators, and survivors, in collaboration with committed private enterprise groups to target change and effect global solutions.
