Visit to Palmerston Farm
In my former role as Parliamentary Secretary for Mental Health, I had the pleasure of visiting Palmerston Farm with Ben Morton MP and Andrew Hastie MP. This impressive facility is helping people whose lives are affected by drugs and alcohol, and we can be very proud to have a service such as this improving the lives of many in the South Metropolitan Region.
The farm is a therapeutic residential rehabilitation facility for men and women which offers a 14 week rehabilitation program for people over 18 years of age who wish to address their substance issues. Funded by the Mental Health Commission, Palmerston Farm is a 10 acre property located 30 minutes south of Perth and houses 37 beds.
